This also makes it faster than many other cars in corners; on a straight line, you’ll naturally notice that you only have 90-143 hp under the hood. To make the MX-5 even more fun to drive, the turbo kit is, of course, a fantastic solution.

A standard MX-5 engine is so powerful that it can be safely tuned to around 240 hp. In terms of power-to-weight ratio, you’re on par with many entry-level Porsches!

After installation, it’s highly recommended to replace the clutch with a Competition Clutch Stage 3 and have the car tuned by a certified tuner. Prefer to drive with the original clutch? That’s possible up to approximately 170 hp.
